Use our Pay-By-Installment facility to spread the cost of your winter warmth
We know it can be difficult to come up with a lump sum in autumn to buy firewood, so we have established a Pay-By-Installment system which enables you to pre-pay for your firewood in small increments throughout the year.
If you’re on a fixed income or want to set your budget in advance, our Pay-By-Installment scheme is a great way to ensure that you’ll have wood when you need it the most.

How does Pay-By-Installment work?
You make payments into the Clearwater Firewood Pay-By-Installment Trust Account. You determine the amount and frequency of payments. (We find that regular weekly or monthly payments work best but there are no penalties if you can’t afford it one week or need to change it). When an agreed figure is reached (for example, sufficient funds to pay for a 6m3 load of firewood), we’ll contact you and arrange to deliver your wood. Your funds are then released to pay us and your wood is delivered. Simple!
Oh, and we have a very official contract which basically means you get your money back if we drop dead!
How much extra does it cost?
The only additional cost is a one-off $10 administration fee (even if your trust account continues for years). Other than that, your money goes straight towards pre-paying your wood at our regular prices.
For example, a number of our clients make a weekly payment of ~$30/week (or a monthly payment of ~$120/month) throughout the year. This means that, once their trust account has accumulated enough, they never have to worry about finding the funds for firewood -their account just keeps rolling around and we just keep delivering the wood. Simple!
*Please note, most households burn 12-18m3 of firewood over a complete season, depending on the type of wood.
